Kappa vevichathu - tapioca seasoned with grated coconut is a tasty preparation..This is a simple recipe...This can be had with rice and fish curry or idli podi
Ingredients:
Kappa:1/2 kg
Grated coconut:1 cup
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds:1/2 tsp
Few curry leaves
Dried red chilly:1
Oil:1 tsp
Preparation:
Clean the kappa and peel off the skin..
Chop in to bite size pieces..
Steam the chopped pieces along with salt for ten minutes in a pressure cooker..
Strain the water..
Now take a pan and season with oil,mustard seeds,dried red chilly and curry leaves..
Then add in the steamed kappa pieces and mix well..
Finally add in the grated coconut,mix well and remove from the flame..
Tasty kappa vevichathu is ready!!
